Binevenue à Versailles; A castle filled with rich history and alluring charm. Today, this is a place which is flocked by tourists. However, all the furore brought on by sightseers is not what makes this chateau special. Living in a modern world marked by technological developments and the rise of the internet era, it is often hard to imagine how our ancestors were able to create such complex worlds with limited resources in comparison to what we have today. When taking into consideration that back then, monumental structures were able to be constructed without the help of intricate machines or artificial intelligence, our understanding of the past becomes infinitely smaller. I can barely imagine myself lasting 24 hours without using technology. I wonder how Marie Antoinette or Louis XIV felt…
